Josh Hunt: US History

For the past two years I worked for the district office as a teacher on special assignment with technology. [I’m here now because] the district took my position away, and the place that was open was this school, and I’m excited to be here. I feel that history is really important at this time of the year, especially with what’s happening in the government. It’s weird because technology has made it so that you can find out anything I’m ever going to teach you, so history [is] a great place to start learning actually how to understand what you can find online, and understand different sources, and how to create an argument. The most important thing I think when you get to college or whatever your next job is, is how to be able to speak for yourself and think for yourself, and history is the best way to learn that.
