Lunchables

Lunchables

Lunchables were something I was always delighted to find in my lunchbox in kindergarten. Upon purchasing the one dollar snack as a seventeen year old, the small portions of food inside the package caught my eyes and had me wondering whether there was enough food for me to eat for lunch. In the classic combination of one cracker, a piece of ham, and a single slice of cheese stacked on top of each other. It is, ironically, the taste of the cracker that stands out. The ham strikes as the oddest component of the combination — both its taste and texture are bizarre, and it does not have the characteristics of even a mediocre slice of ham. The cheese loses its taste in the midst of the overwhelming crackers and ham. Overall, Lunchables are still how I remember them, just not as delicious and filling as they once were in elementary school.
