The volleyball team is already making huge improvements from their season last year. First-year coach Amber Taylor brought the 15 member squad to the NorCal Varsity Tournament at American Canyon High School. Last year the team did not place at all in the tournament; however, this year, they placed first in the bronze bracket. Playing their way up from three losses down, the Gauchos won three straight games in a row to work their way to the top of the bronze league. All of the games were hard fought and nail-biters until the closing points. These victories are a huge confidence booster for the team, and looking into the closing half of their season, the team and staff hope to win enough games to move on to the North Coast Section playoffs.
