Beauty influencer James Charles is at the center of attention after allegations of sexual harassment emerged from previous colleagues and friends.

This all began when Charles allegedly ran into security problems during the first weekend of Coachella, and reached out to the famous brand Sugar Bear Hair for help. In exchange for VIP tickets, Charles was required to post an ad featuring their vitamins on his Instagram story. Following the Instagram story, long time friend, and “mother of the beauty community” Tati Westbrook posted to Instagram a video of her crying.

Within this video she said that she “felt betrayed.”

Fans were quick to connect the two, as Westbrook owns her own vitamin company Halo Beauty, and connected Charles’ promotion of her rival as the proclaimed betrayal. While Charles previously apologized, Westbrook continued to remain silent until May 10th.

Fans were shocked when Westbrook posted a video titled “Bye Sister….” In this forty-three minute video, she reveals Charles’ behavior of trying to “trick a straight man into thinking he’s gay, yet again,” vulgar language at her birthday dinner, and use of his fame to threaten individuals because he is “a celebrity.” Following Westbrook’s videos, other have shared their own experiences with Charles.

Zara Larsson, a famous Swedish pop singer, took to Twitter and wrote: ‘I’m cackling cause he hit up my boyfriend in the DMs several times knowing damn well he’s straight.’

Since then, Larsson has deleted the tweet, and wrote: ‘I feel like deleting this cause I checked and it wasn’t several times, only one DM and some comments under pictures.’

Gage Gomez, a social media influencer and Charles’ ex-boyfriend, has come out with a  video explaining his side of the story, after Charles released a series of tweets claiming that he was conned by Gomez.

Even Jeffree Star, former close friend of Charles, wrote: “There is a reason that Nathan banned James Charles from ever coming over to our home again,” in a since-deleted tweet. “He is a danger to society. Everything Tati said is 100% true.”

Since Westbrook’s video, Charles has lost over three million subscribers on his Youtube channel, and 400k followers on Instagram, with A-listers as Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Iggy Azalea, Demi Lovato, and Shawn Mendes, and former friends Emma Chamberlain, and Ethan and Grayson Dolan unfollowing him. While Charles’ business ties and contracts with Morphe and Ulta remain to be intact, his merch line Sister’s Apparel seems to no longer be in production.

Charles recently uploaded a video sharing his side of the story, providing ‘receipts’ for the many accusations that Westbrook and Star made. With millions of views flooding in, Charles is beginning to regain subscribers, and Westbrook and Star losing subscribers. While Westbrook is taking time off of social media, Star took to Twitter to give a statement.

Everyone keeps asking me for my RECEIPTS…. I have so much to say and some really sad, disgusting things to show you guys. James Charles tried to mass manipulate you all today. When I show you the proof and WHY I tweeted that tweet about him, you will all finally understand,” wrote Star.

This feud is yet to end, as fans are anticipating Star’s video to drop in the following week.
