If there is one thing that the students of Casa Grande can agree on, it is that candy is amazing. In a survey sent out to the entire student body, students decided which candy is the best. Some Gauchos have a taste for sweet candy, while others prefer sour taste. It is time to find out which candy is the most popular! The Casa Grande students replied to a poll asking what their favorite candy was. 

The poll was split into three categories based on three types of candy. The categories are chocolate candies, hard candies, and gummies. 

CHOCOLATE

1. Kit-Kats – 23.5 percent of the survey takers chose this option
2. Twix Bars – 17.96 percent of the survey takers chose this option
3. Snickers – 10.1 percent of the survey takers chose this option

The chocolate category had many different opinions and many people voted for a variety of candies. Kit-Kats have been voted to be the most popular chocolate candy, being selected by 23.5 percent of the survey takers. 

HARD CANDIES

1. Jolly Ranchers – 33.9 percent of the survey takers chose this candy
2. Skittles – 23.5 percent of the survey takers chose this candy
3. Nerds – 14.8 percent of the survey takers chose this candy

This was a category that many people agreed on. Students like the variety of flavors Jolly Ranchers has to offer. Whether it’s grape, cherry, or green apple, you can be sure to find a Gaucho with Jolly Ranchers on hand.

SOFT CANDIES

1. Sour Patch Kids – 43.8 percent of the survey takers chose this candy
2. Trolli – 20 percent of the survey takers chose this candy
3. Haribo Gummies -15.3 percent of the survey takers chose this candy

The gummy category had the highest number of votes for the number one option. Sour Patch Kids are usually people’s favorite candy, as they are often just the right amount of sour. 

Overall, it really comes down to opinion. What each individual person prefers, whether that’s a lollipop, chocolate bar, or gummy bear. Candy brings joy to people with their abundance of delicious tastes. Gauchos can look forward to Halloween, knowing that it will be a night full of spookiness, and sugar!
