Mochi

Mochi

Behold: the cleanest way to eat ice cream. Avoid the drippy, sticky mess with cute mochi ice cream. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake that is moldable to any shape and is the perfect little pocket for ice cream. The ice cream is tucked inside the floured surface and does not melt as you eat it. The mochi keeps the ice cream cold for longer periods of time, thus keeping the ice cream in its original, easy-to-eat form. It also doesn’t taint the taste of the ice cream, and this delicacy, offered at Whole Foods, even comes in unique Japanese flavors such as black sesame, yet my personal favorite was the mint mochi. What sets mochi apart from eating regular ice cream is the fact that it is more filling, as well. The rice satisfies hunger faster, making it a healthier (I use that term loosely) alternative to basic ice cream
