Student Tech Check-In

Despite the frustration that has arisen since its introduction, a recent poll shows that many teachers implemented technology to enhance their teaching, and it has had a positive impact on the students as well. The poll asked how much students’ teachers used technology in the classroom, and students answered on a scale of one to ten, one being not at all and ten being for very frequently. The average answer was eight, showing how students are increasingly using technology for educational purposes. It turns out that more than half of the students prefer a technology-based curriculum as opposed to the traditional one; the increased availability of technology to students has been a favorable change. Also in the poll, students rated the effect technology had to help them learn and receive help. On a scale of one to ten, with a one being a strong negative effect and a ten being a strong positive one, the average student answer was about ten.
