Not receiving gifts for Christmas, not having warm enough clothes for the frigid climate, scraping together money for food–this is a reality for many citizens during the holidays in Petaluma.
Petaluma is a place for acceptance and inclusivity. Its downtown area holds a wide variety of restaurants, such as Luma Bar and Eatery, boutiques, like Ooh La Lux, thrift stores, such as Uptown Vintage, and cafes, like Stellina Pronto. These companies are determined to give back to the community during the holidays through charitable giving and donations.

Stores like Nan Winters, Sonoma Spice Queen, and Copperfield’s participate in things such as food drives and clothing drives. These events are organized by the City of Petaluma and other organizations to collect non-perishable foods and used or new clothes to support individuals and families in need.

Usher Gallery, a unique art exhibit located in the heart of Petaluma, is involved in events hosted by SOURCE: a Christmas Basket Fundraiser, and a Christmas Event.
Copperfield’s, a down-to-earth used and new book store, is participating in the Cots Book Drive, as well as the Money for Schools event, run by the Petaluma Educational Foundation.
Petaluma’s downtown stores are dedicated to giving to our community this season. Whether through charity events or fundraisers, there are many ways to help citizens of Petaluma during the holidays.
