The character Hannah Montana is a little girl’s dream. Hannah is talented, creative, and known for her brilliant music. Without that blonde wig on, she’s secretly, really Miley Stewert, a typical teenage girl living her best life running around with her friends, and trying to keep her secret, that on stage, she’s Hannah Montana.
Character Miley is from Crowley Corners, Tennessee, a small town, surrounded by loving family, a slower lifestyle, and far away from fame. Although Miley loves having a double life by also being Hannah, it’s a struggle to keep a balance. Miley has a brother, Jackson, and a father, Robby Ray. Jackson and Robby have been there for Miley no matter what, and have always been helpful throughout the ups and downs of her journey. Both Jackson and Robby are so supportive and are always making sure she’s being the best she can be.
As the movie begins, Miley is getting carried away in the star-studded lifestyle as Hannah Montana, She is slowly letting go of what’s truly important. Since the fame is taking over so much, it’s getting hard for Hannah to make decisions, keep relationships, and make sure she remembers who she really is. Robby has been seeing changes in Miley since they moved to Malibu for Hannah, so he had to make a big decision on his own, and take Miley back to Crowley Corners for a reset.

Once Miley has returned back to Crowley Corners, she realizes how much being Hannah has changed her when she spends time with family, friends, and her hometown community. The trip back home makes Miley remember how much she missed her home life. She realizes that she had been taking simple memories for granted and needed to soak everything in. Miley makes stronger relationships with her old hometown friends and realizes what truly matters about her journey while living a double life.
When I was growing up, “Hannah Montana: The Movie” was one of my favorites. As a kid it brought me joy, and even now, as a high school student, the music, characters, and the excitement still make this my number one movie. While I was growing up and watching it, this movie made me want to be just like Miley, and not so much like Hannah. This movie brings back nostalgic memories from my childhood, and when I watch it now, it reminds me of why I loved it so much.

In the end, “Hannah Montana: The Movie” isn’t just about a pop-teen that has fame, with a hometown back story. It is actually full of important lessons about family, and it reminds viewers how important it is to stay true to who you really are. Identity plays a huge role in the movie as well, seeing how much fame can change a young teen. Although the journey of fame is exciting for Hannah, nothing should ever come down to forgetting where you came from or losing who you are. With all of the music, the amazing characters, and the memories made, for many fans, it’s a top favorite movie with the biggest message: Be yourself.
