The Casa Grande Men’s Varsity Basketball Team has had a hot start this season. They are currently at 4 wins and 1 loss and are hoping to keep this win streak of three alive. They are heading into the season with high hopes after the first game at Novato, which they won 86-42. But the score doesn’t show how truly dominant Casa was by the end of the first half. The score ended 46-12 in favor of Casa’s team. After that game, it’s hard to not be excited for the rest of the season. In their most recent game against Healdsburg they won 72-30 in a clean fashion, with Healdsburg only getting 15 points in each half of the game. With this game, Casa’s win streak extended to 3 games with previous wins against Windsor and Rancho.

As for the team, Head Coach Nicholas Guillory is proud of all the players. He says that since it’s the start of the season, there are going to be some ups and downs, and that they want more noise from the fans and more fans in the stands. The coach also says that hopes are high for the season and thinks they can make it farther in the playoffs then they did last year. Starter David Isola says he has “high hopes for the Brett Callan Tournament coming up,” and that will come up during the winter break.
