Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” Tour went on for 14 months (106 shows), from Sept. 19, 2024 to Nov. 23, 2025. Fans claimed it was “phenomenal and flowed artistically well.”
At the last show of the tour, Eilish opened her heart to her fans by telling them how in the past years, “[she spent] most of [her] time on tour just not wanting to live,” but that this tour was much different, saying that she had a “wonderful time” and was “so grateful for [the] experience.”
Also during the last show, fans were surprised with the trailer for the “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D),” confirming to the world that a movie was going to be released. When announced, the release date was set for March 20, 2026, but then it got pushed back to May 8, to add sharper 3D technology, and fans were told that it would be “worth the wait.” Now, in May, multiple showings of the movie have been released, and fans have been raving. They say it is “like a one-on-one experience,” and felt like they were “reliving the show,” just with a “much better view…[and] from every single angle.”

We (the writers of this article) saw the movie on May 8, and we had a great time. The visuals were immaculate, including close up shots of Eilish herself and her band. The 3-D effects dazzled us, as we saw hands that felt as if they were right in front of us and confetti that seemed like it would fall on top of our heads. The movie was filled with emotional moments, interviews with Eilish where she explained how grateful she was for the tour and for her fans. Aside from the heartfelt moments, the music resonated through our hearts, inspiring tears as well as beats that we couldn’t help but dance to. We had both seen the show live twice, and we agreed that it was a great way to relive those memories, but it would never live up to the actual experience. Fans who went to the movie expressed how it felt “like an out of body experience,” and those who didn’t go to the live concert were grateful that there was a way to be able to “experience the show without being there in person.”

All in all, the movie “Hit Me Hard and Soft (The Tour Live in 3D)” was an amazing experience, giving fans a chance to live the concert as if they’re there, or even to relive it if they went! It was packed with emotion-provoking moments, and was a perfect place to make new friends with a community who shares a love for Eilish. Now fans will have a place to see and listen to Eilish whenever they desire.
